The District sponsors two project for Eagle Scouts to include painting the fire hydrants (increases visibility in an emergency and color of the bonnet indicates the size of the water line in the bottom) for the fire department. Or, troop members can aid installation of safety decals on storm water inlets (helps to warn about the need to safeguard the water supply).
