Helping Hands Network

Unexpected events happen to each of us.

The unexpected events, such as critical illness, divorce, the passing of a loved one, job layoffs, or tragic accidents, are often accompanied by unforeseen financial hardships.  The Helping Hands Network, another part of the District's Community Heartlines projects, was established in partnership with the East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry, to enable residents of the District to add voluntary contributions to water bill payments that provides assistance to neighbors in need of temporary financial help to pay their water bills. Residents who want to help must designate how much they wish to contribute to the Helping Hands Network and add the amount of the voluntary contribution to the total amount paid. The contributions collected by the District are forwarded to the East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry, where an account will be maintained to help pay water bills for District residents that qualify for temporary financial assistance.
